Jesus is coming back !
John 14.3 : "And when I am gone, and I have prepared for you a place, I will return, and I will take you with me, that where I am, you shall be there also: you know where I go, and you know the way."
The Holy Word and Jesus Himself repeatedly warn us of His coming. The Lord will return for his wife and will exercise his final judgment. It is then that we will see the resurrection of the dead and the deliverance of the people of God. Jesus will destroy the ungodly by the breath of his mouth and reign on the earth for a thousand years with his people. No one knows the day and the hour, neither the angels, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
Hebrews 9.28 : "For the same Christ, who has offered himself once to bear the sins of many, will appear sinless a second time to those who wait for their salvation."
His return is announced from the beginning of the New Testament to the last book of the Apocalypse dedicated exclusively to him. There are no fewer than 300 mentions on this subject in the Holy Scriptures. The coming of the Lord will be a day of terror for the world, the angels will accompany it with all the glory of heaven. When will come this day, it will be suddenly and unexpectedly. Signs will precede this advent, so that patient believers will feel that the moment is near, while the world as a whole laughs at such an idea, those who watch are warned, lest they be caught off guard.
Acts 1.6: "And the apostles gathered together, and said unto him, Lord, at that time will ye restore the kingdom of Israel, and say unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the times which the father hath fixed by his own authority."
At the appointed time, an archangel will announce to the sound of the trumpet of God, the Glorious return of the Lord. Jesus Christ will return on "the clouds of the sky" this phenomenon will be extraordinary, to the point of being visible on all the earth. The angels will accompany the Lord who will bring retribution to those who have been disobedient in the midst of a flame of fire. It is then that the kings of the earth will unite to fight the Lord and his army. In vain, they will be destroyed.
Matthew 24.30 : "Then shall the sign of the Son of Man appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. send his angels with the trumpet of sound, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
The world will be freed from servitude and corruption to finally know the freedom of the Glory of the children of God. Sin and all its consequences, all that alters the creation of God, all that makes us suffer, will end at the return of the Lord Jesus. After severe judgments on the earth, the Lord will establish his reign of justice and peace for a thousand years. The dead Christians will be resurrected and the living who walk in the voices of Christ will all be changed incorruptible. The mortal bodies will revere immortability in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet.
Matthew 25.34 : "Then the King will say to those on his right hand, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, take possession of the kingdom which was prepared for you from the foundation of the world...."
The false prophet and Satan will be thrown alive into the lake of fire. Satan bound for a thousand years, will no longer be able to exercise his power of destruction. Once the thousand years have passed, Satan will be loosed for the last trial of man. Therefore, he will seek to mislead the greatest number for a little while but God will put a definite heat to his actions by sending him into the abyss where the beast and the false prophet are. They will be tormented day and night with fallen angels and unhappy men who have not wanted the salvation of God for ever and ever.
Revelation 20.10 : "And the devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are."
"Watch and pray at all times". Jesus exhorts us not to relax our efforts in sanctification! Thus, the Lord warns us repeatedly: Matthew 24:36 and 42; Matthew 25:13 and 33; Mark 13:32; Luke 12:39 and 46; Luke 21:25 and 36. These are several warnings and insistent warnings, his invitation is still valid today! But on the day of his coming, the door of his grace will close definitively for the infidels.
Luke 12.46 : "Then the master of this servant will come the day he does not expect it, and at the hour he does not know, he will punish him severely and will make him share the fate of the infidels."
Conclusion : The coming of the Lord is a promise! The entire book of Revelation deals with the subject. It will be a day of terror for those who reject it. Paul exhorts us to be conditioned on his return: "So, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your work is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15.58). When this unexpected day comes, Jesus will deliver anger from all dead and living Saints. So, on this glorious day, the Lord comes to seek the human personality of all his children as a whole: the soul which is our life principle; the spirit which is the organ of communion with God and the resurrection of a new incorruptible body. We are destined to live eternally in immeasurable joy and happiness with our Lord and Savior. Maranatha!
John 6.44: "No man can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." Amen!
