It has been two years since incessant terrorist attacks have overwhelmed the people of Burkina Faso. Christians are on the front line. Pastors, faithful and civilians are affected by weapons of war. Hundreds of dead, hundreds injured, thousands of widows and orphans and more than 300,000 displaced from the north of the country, Mali and Niger. An unknown number of pastors and their families have been abducted.
Their faith is in JESUS CHRIST ... and they will not deny it.
On Sunday April 28, 2019 in the village of Siradji, Pastor Pierre Oult (80) was still talking with 5 worshipers outside the church when a dozen men on motorbikes appeared. "The attackers asked them to convert to Islam, but the pastor and the others refused. The attackers took their Bibles and cell phones, then called the Christians one after the other behind the church building. They fired, "reports a witness. The mayor had advised Pastor Pierre to leave the area. He remembers his answer: "I would rather die for my faith than leave the community that I have served for forty years". If you have just read this account, Thank you for praying for this nation, for this people and for our Christian brothers. Pray that they will be firm in their faith, that humanitarian aid may be distributed to them, that the displaced populations may be rehoused and that the Word of God may continue to be disseminated throughout the country.
